There is SO much fun in planning and putting together your child’s Halloween costume. And even more fun, taking your child trick-or-treating in the perfect costume! Whether you are new to Ventura County or just looking for an easy place to trick-or-treat, we have compiled all the places you can visit to trick-or-treat and celebrate Halloween in a safe and fun environment.

There is no shortage of candy and treats in Ventura County and we hope your family enjoys hitting a few of them.  Remember: The more candy the kids have, the more there is for Mom to steal! Your family is sure to enjoy these spots for trick or treating in Ventura County.

Easy and Fun Trick-or-Treat Locations in Ventura County

  1. SEASIDE KIDS TRICK OR TREAT – Ventura Harbor
    Sunday October 31, 2021
    12:00-2:00PM
    Ventura Harbor Village

Dress up the kids and navigate through the waterfront village with treat stops at participating Harbor boutiques and restaurants on Halloween Day (Sunday, October 31) from noon to 2pm. It will be an afternoon full of Halloween sweets, face painting, fortune telling, and family fun! Please bring your own bag (but we’ll have extra in case you forget)!

2.  HAUNTED HIGH STREET – Moorpark
October 31, 2021
4:00-7:00PM

We will have dozens of opportunities for children to collect Halloween candy!  Our Trunk-or-Treat features decorated vehicles full of candy and small prizes from our awesome local businesses!

3.  “BOO AT THE ZOO” – America’s Teaching Zoo
October 30-31, 2021

Trick and Treat yourself with a day full of fun. Lift your spirits with activities for kids of all ages and animals that are too cute to spook! Animal Shows and Meet & Greets are presented by the students of the Exotic Animal and Training Management Program and feature the Animal Ambassadors of America’s Teaching Zoo.  Let’s have some skele-fun!

4. HAUNTED TRAIL & COSTUME CONTEST – Conejo Recreation and Park

Reptile Show – Immediately after the Costume Contest

5. HALLOWEEN IN THE PARK – Camarillo 
Sunday, October 31, 5-8pm
Community Center Park, 1605 E. Burnley Street, Camarillo

Join us for a spooky evening out at Community Center Park on Halloween night with pumpkin painting, lawn games, food trucks, a costume contest for all ages, and a Trick-Or-Treat Village where you can stock up on plenty of candy. This event is FREE to participants.

6. TRICK-OR-TREAT TRAIL ON THE LAKE – THOUSAND OAKS
Saturday, October 30, 2021 AT 10 AM – 2 PM

Come enjoy a fantastic day at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks where you can spend time on our Trick-or-Treat Trail, play on the playground, hang out for lunch at favorite eateries.

7. TRUNK OR TREAT – SIMI VALLEY TOWN CENTER
On October 31, 2021 3PM-7PM

The Simi Valley Town Center will be holding a Trunk or Treat. Come dressed up!

8.  TRICK-OR-TREAT AT THE COLLECTIONS
Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 5PM–7PM
The Collection at RiverPark

The Collection at RiverPark invites Super Heroes, Witches, Ghosts and Goblins to collect sweet treats!  Attendees who complete their passport will be entered for a chance to win a spooktacular Collection grand prize.  This wicked event fills up fast so mummies and daddies are strongly encouraged to RSVP as soon as possible. Tickets are reserved for children only; one ticket per trick-or-treater.

9.  STREET FAIR + TRICK-OR-TREATING – SIMI VALLEY
October 30, 2021    9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Simi Town Center Way

Over 350 vendors: artists, crafters, business products, community organizations, commercial vendors, food booths, and lots of samples. Non-Stop Entertainment, Beer and Wine Garden, Kids Activity Zone – FREE for Kids 12 and under!  Free Parking

10.  HALLOWEEN PARTY IN THE ALLEY
October 30, 2021  3PM – 9PM

Bring the whole family for this all day Halloween party in The Alley!
Get your best costumes on for trick or treating from 2-4p through the businesses in The Alley and then special costume contests for prizes at
-3pm for the best 2 kids costumes
-5pm for the best 2 group or family costumes
-7pm for the best 2 adult costumes!

11.  BOOFest OLD TOWN CAMARILLO
October 30, 2021    12pm- 4pm

Go Door to Door for treats! Stop by the Chapel City Church for a free carnival for all ages. There will be candy, water, games, prizes and more!
