Vacation Bible School is back! Big on fun and new friends, but easy on the budget, VBS is a great summer option for your kids.

VBS {Vacation Bible School} is a program hosted by many local churches, giving children an opportunity to learn about religion, make new friends, engage in activities, arts and crafts, and most importantly, have a great time! We hope this guide can help you find a local VBS in Ventura County to attend.

Our theme this year is “On Earth As In Heaven” written by ELCA World Hunger. Each day our kids will be learning parts of the Lord’s Prayer through stories, crafts, games, and music.

Peace Lutheran Church

Kids like to go to the carnival, enjoying traditions, food, and fun activities. Each day they will learn and sing catchy songs, play games, dig into Bible-times snacks, visit the “Daniel School,” and collect Bible Memory Makers to remind them of God’s love for them in Jesus the Messiah.

Jubilee Church

This summer, Jubilee Church is having Vacation Bible School called “What a Mess”. Because Sometimes Life Can Get A Little…MESSY!

The good news is, Jesus loves messy people!  Whether you’re 5, 45, or 105, we all have our own messes. What a Mess! VBS is about how Jesus deals with our messes; our sins, mistakes, and weaknesses.

Moorpark

 Community Christian Church

At this VBS, your kids will explore the biblical answers to these questions as they set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call. These ports are the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Kids will discover how these events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday life.

Cornerstone Community Church

Come and join us for an unforgettable undersea adventure, where your child can go scuba diving deep with God and experience His never-ending love. We will explore the Word of God and understand what it truly means to be immersed in living water. Through interactive Bible lessons, games, crafts, and more, your child will discover that God is a faithful friend on whom they can always rely. By joining us, your child will leave with a stronger connection to God!

Moorpark Presbyterian Church

We invite children age 4 (as of 6/1/24) through completing 4th grade to join us for Camp Firelight VBS.  It will be an exciting journey where kids learn to trust God no matter what situation life brings, know God is always with them, and feel confident in sharing the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ.

VBS is a fun week of learning and growing closer to God for ages 4 years through 6th grade. This year’s adventure is the first in a 3-year trilogy based on the Avengers. Pre-registration is open until June 10th, after which in-person registration is required. Optional T-shirts are available for $10.00.

The kingdom of heaven is the focus of this year’s VBS.  During our 4-day VBS, children will be taught through the gospel of Matthew what the kingdom of heaven is and how one may enter it through Christ.

Church at Rocky Peak

Kids Camp is a week-long program that serves as a chance for Elementary aged children to encounter God with less distractions. It is an opportunity for kids to grow closer to the Lord, experience His presence, learn more of His truth, and have fellowship with their peers. Kids will engage in small groups called crews that will travel to different venues throughout the day all focused on one daily truth.

Calvary Westlake

This year’s VBS theme is “Explore!” Calvary Kids will explore Scripture with the knowledge that God leads and guides our steps each and every day. As we learn more about who God is, we will discover how God made each one of us and we can trust in His plans for our lives.
