Splish Splash! California is the land of endless summer and endless water activities! We are always looking for the best places to stay cool in the warm summer sun. While the beach is awesome, it’s great to have a creative alternative too…like  Splash Pads, pools  or water parks.

Ventura County Mom Collective has found some of the best spots for cooling off. With great locations around our county, there’s bound to be splash pads, pool or water park to visit near your home.

So, lather on the sunscreen, load the kids in the car and enjoy making memories at these splash pads and water fun!

RANCHO TAPO COMMUNITY PARK (LEMON PARK)

he 2024 Splash Pad season will open on Saturday, May 25, 2024, and will end on Monday, September 2nd, 2024.  The hours of operation are from 11 am – 7 pm every day, except for a closure every day from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm for maintenance.

This park is home to the award-winning Veteran’s Plaza. The plaza’s reflective pool, fountains and memorial pilasters combine to pay tribute to the men and women who have served our country.

OAK PARK SPLASH PAD

The Children’s Splash Pad/water play area is open from the Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend until the end of September (September 30th), from 10:00am to 7:00pm.

The water is on a timer that needs to be activated by the user in order for water to come out. Once activated the water will cycle through each play feature and then automatically shut off. The button that activates the water is on top of a pedestal near the edge of the water play area.

State-of-the-art aquatic facility featuring a 50-meter competition pool, 25-meter recreation pool, water playground pool, and two water slides designed for use by all ages, abilities, and levels of experience.

PLEASANT VALLEY AQUATIC CENTER

Our indoor pool is 25-yards long, holds 210,000 gallons of water, has eight swimming lanes, a one-meter diving board, 65-foot spiral waterslide and is heated to 81-83 degrees. Men’s & women’s locker rooms provide comfort to guests with restrooms and showers. A hydraulic lift is available to lower handicap visitors in & out of the pool.

RANCHO SIMI COMMUNITY POOL

Enjoy the diving boards, lap lanes, and AquaTrack at this pool. Attendees are welcome to bring chairs, canopies, umbrellas, and snacks.

SWIM TEST to access deep-end and AquaTrack: 25 yards front crawl/freestyle without stopping, touching the sides, lane lines or the bottom. Required at each visit.

The Center provides four types of memberships: Tennis, Health, Non-Prime Time and Weekend Non-Prime Time. The Memberships accommodate several family size dynamics including individual, couple and family memberships. The Center has all of your needs covered. Non-members can pay a daily fee to use tennis courts, pool and fitness classes as well.

LAKE CASITAS WATER ADVENTURE

The Lazy River offers a cool water ride on inner tubes along a scenic waterway featuring waterfalls, fog filled bridges and lifeguards at every turn to keep your family safe. The inner tubes are available free of charge on a first come, first served basis.  For the smallest of tots, a zero-depth pool sprays water from all angles, providing a safe, fun play area. Shaded decks, lounge chairs, showers, restrooms and a snack bar are provided for comfort and convenience.

  • Weekends will be split into two sessions per day.
    Tickets will be $23.00 per person per session; free entry for children under two.
    AM Session: 10:30am – 2:00pm
    PM Session: 3:00pm – 6:30pm
  • Weekdays will be open starting June 19
    Tickets will be $20.00 per person per day; free entry for children under two.
