Popsicles at beach for spring break

Spring Break is HERE! A break from school and routine.  But it can also be a week of “I’m Bored” and “Can we do something fun”.  We have your back mama with our Guide to Spring Break in Ventura County.  It is filled with something for everyone.  So let’s get out and explore Ventura County this Spring Break.

For Those Looking for Adventure

  • The Sunburst Railbikes is truly a unique and adventurous experience. Pedal your way through the gorgeous citrus groves, enjoy a picnic and stop at Prancers Farm.
  • Climb indoors at an indoor rock climbing place.  Find Boulderdash Climbing in Thousand Oaks and Ventura.
  • Adventure is waiting for you with an Island Packers Cruise.
  • Rent a kayak and get out to enjoy the day. You can rent single and double kayaks.
  • Make a bet and have some fun Mini Golfing! Try for a hole in one or just spend time as a family, either way you will have a great time.
  • Try to escape from an Escape Room!
  • Grab a lane and some friends! Let’s go bowling. Call ahead and make a reservation to avoid league times.
  • Take an overnight to a near-by location. Check out Cambria or Ojai or even Solvang.  Get a behind the scene look at a family trip to Cambria here.

For the Water Lover

  •  The Swans, Ducks, Dragons or Flamingos pedal boat rentals are a great way to enjoy the water, available every day, first come first serve. Your family will enjoy the harbor and get a little work out as well. The pedal boats can accommodate up to five passengers.
  • We have local aquariums?!! Ok so we may not have a huge aquarium in Ventura County, but you can enjoy a small, intimate local aquarium or ocean center.  Great for the ocean lovers in your family. Or if you are up for a drive, check out our visit to the Aquarium of the Pacific here.
  • Schedule an Island Wildlife Cruises for a 3.5 hour cruise that will take you through the waters of the Santa Barbara Channel, Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary and the Channel Islands National Park.

  • Open swim is now open on the weekends at the Community Pool at CLU.
  • Treat your family with a hotel stay. Even better, stay at a hotel with a great water park!
  • Head to the beach! A day trip to the beach is always a good idea! Pack some snacks and sunscreen and make a day of it!
