Bridges StoryWalk at the Conejo Valley Botanic Gardens

May 8, 2023

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating until May 14, 2023

Free
Readers of all ages can enjoy a book at the beautiful Conejo Valley Botanic Gardens with a StoryWalk! (Free & Open to the Public)
With a StoryWalk, laminated pages of a children’s picture book are placed along an outdoor path. As families follow the path, they are directed to the next page of the story.
This year’s StoryWalk features “Fatima’s Great Outdoors” – a story about an Indian immigrant family’s first time exploring the outdoors, and it’s as much of a story about curiosity and adventure as it is about celebrating diversity and learning about assimilation as an immigrant in this country.
Readers are given the opportunity to grow vibrant orange California Poppies at home with complimentary golden poppy seeds at the end of the StoryWalk (while supplies last).
Get outdoors, celebrate Mother’s Day with Mother Nature and enjoy the beautiful grounds at CV Botanic Gardens!
*StoryWalk begins at the CVBG Garden entrance by the playground at Conejo Community Park. Open daily from sunrise to sunset with no admission charge.*
**The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. **
