Circus Vargas is in Ventura and it brings all the nostalgia along for parents and kids of all ages! Their 2023 experience “Bonjour Paris” will make you laugh, clap, dance and hold on to your seat in awe of how much talent is in the ring.
Circus Vargas “City of lights” production brings energy and captures the perfect way to bring great family entertainment to Ventura County. The two-hour family-friendly show is now at the Ventura County Fairgrounds and it is so inviting and entertaining.
Our family was able to be part of the audience for “Bonjour Paris” and I could not have asked for a better first time Circus experience for our children. Circus Vargas thrills, daring stunts and breath-taking artistry was amazing to witness and had adults and children in the audience captivated.
What to Expect
You will be greeted by a towering blue and white circus tent. Once you go through the ticket booth, your marvelous experience begins.
First, find your favorite snacks before the show starts. You will find the classic circus foods and beverages to enjoy. My favorites, popcorn and cotton candy were a must have. Also before going to your seats, you will find available merchandise for purchase, face-painting and more.
Take your seat and try to wait patiently for the performance to start. As the lights dim, you will notice sequin, glitter and a top hat from the Ring Master whose voice will give you goosebumps as he sings a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner and allows the show to commence.
All the astonishing acts bring so much energy to the ring. Some acts add a bit of comedy to the show which is such a fun take and truly has the crowd feeling happy throughout the show. From the amazing juggling acts to all the audacious and bold stunts of the wheel of death and globe of death acts, Circus Vargas has something for everyone and it is truly spectacular. You will also enjoy the aerial acrobats as they soar through the air or the flying trapeze performers as they keep you at the edge of your seat through their performance. It will be difficult to pick your favorite act.
Things to Know
1. They offer Senior and Military discounts.
2. If you have little ones who are sensitive to noise be aware that it does get pretty loud. Bring noise-canceling headphones for them.
3. They have food and drinks available on-site.
4. The show is about 2 hours with a 20 minute break.
5. Make sure you stop to get a photo with some of the performers after the show.
6. It is an animal-free Circus.
