For Those Looking for Adventure
- The Sunburst Railbikes is truly a unique and adventurous experience. Pedal your way through the gorgeous citrus groves, enjoy a picnic and stop at Prancers Farm.
- Climb indoors at an indoor rock climbing place. Find Boulderdash Climbing in Thousand Oaks and Ventura.
- Adventure is waiting for you with an Island Packers Cruise.
- Rent a kayak and get out to enjoy the day. You can rent single and double kayaks.
- Make a bet and have some fun Mini Golfing! Try for a hole in one or just spend time as a family, either way you will have a great time.
- Try to escape from an Escape Room!
- Grab a lane and some friends! Let’s go bowling. Call ahead and make a reservation to avoid league times.

For the Water Lover
- The Swans, Ducks, Dragons or Flamingos pedal boat rentals are a great way to enjoy the water, available every day, first come first serve. Your family will enjoy the harbor and get a little work out as well. The pedal boats can accommodate up to five passengers.
- We have local aquariums?!! Ok so we may not have a huge aquarium in Ventura County, but you can enjoy a small, intimate local aquarium or ocean center. Great for the ocean lovers in your family. Or if you are up for a drive, check out our visit to the Aquarium of the Pacific here.

Schedule an Island Wildlife Cruises for a 3.5 hour cruise that will take you through the waters of the Santa Barbara Channel, Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary and the Channel Islands National Park.
- Open swim is now open on the weekends at the Community Pool at CLU.
- Treat your family with a hotel stay. Even better, stay at a hotel with a great water park!
- Head to the beach! A day trip to the beach is always a good idea! Pack some snacks and sunscreen and make a day of it!
For the Animal Lover
- America’s Teaching Zoo is truly a one of a kind zoo! Get up and close with the animals. If you have a little one who loves animals, the zoo is an absolute must!
- The Wildlife Learning Center is a little treasure just waiting for all animal lovers. The center has 100 displaced, rescued, and zoo-born wild animals. They also offer individual animal experiences, like the Sloth Social, Porcupine Dining Time, and Snake Soiree.
- Mom-Approved and loved by kids, a visit to Noah’s Ark at the Skirball Cultural Center will delight the animal lover in your family.
- The Santa Barbara Zoo may be a bit of a drive, but who can pass up visiting a zoo on the beach!
- Winter Whale Watching is happening now through mid-April. Don’t miss your opportunity to see whales this spring break.

For the Foodies
- Pick fresh, delicious blueberries at Gerry Ranch.
- Check the weekly U-Pick at Underwood Family Farms.
- Coastal Cone is known for their unique and corky ice cream menu! You will definitely want to try their fishzookies and fish cones! Check out our trip from last summer here!
- Create and name your own chocolate at Top This Chocolate. Choose your own nuts, fruits, candies and more.
- Love artisan, handmade bread? You can’t miss visiting to The Baker’s Daughters.
- Satisfy your sweet tooth with a cupcake at Missy’ Cupcake Creations. Call ahead to see if they have any vegan options for that day.

For Education and Learning
- Visit the largest outdoor bookstore. Find a great book at Bart’s Books.

- The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is a wonderful place to visit.
- Visit our local libraries! A library is a great way to spend an afternoon during the break. Most branches offer great spring break programs, classes and reading challenges.
